Damn it is good to be back. I have been waiting for months to get this started again. First of all, everyone can go fuck themselves about the Franchise Tag auction. Yes, I had Shit For Brains thinking other in the AFC had balls to spend some money. You can’t win an auction by yourself or drive the price up when you are only one bidding.
Second Matt can go fuck himself just because. I am sick of being picked on during the Monday Night Football episodes. I am not that old. I do stay up to watch the games and not go to bed at 9:00pm. Here is my challenge to Matt: We play each other on Week 9. If you haven’t given up on the season yet, step up and accept this challenge. The winner takes over as the lead anchor during Monday Night Football. In addition, if I lose, I will do a 40 yard dash on video and I will run with a walker or cane (your choice). If I win, you send me your Raven’s bandanna so I can make a special video for you. Do you have the balls to accept?

Anyway, back to the results from Week 1. It was a strange week. There were very few close games and I must admit everyone did a good job of selecting the best lineup. Lets get to it:
Carolina Nils 396 pts defeated Tennessee Jason 372 pts (24 pt differential)
Cincinatti Danny 369 pts defeated SF Vic 358 pts (11 pt differential)
Chicago Nic 334 pts defeated Las Vegas Craig 311 pts (23 pt differential)
Cleveland Kyle 330 pts defeated Seattle Wil 314 pts (16 pt differential)
Denver Dave 283 pts defeated Green Bay Barry 274 pts (9 pt differential)
First of all, I cant say anything bad about Nils or Jason. They both rock! Jason scored 372 points and lost. That sucks. You two are awesome. It was just a great game.

Now lets look at the game that everybody would probably want to just unload on both owners just for the fun of it. I am sorry to say that I can’t.
Green Bay Barry lost to Denver Dave. I know you can’t see me, but I am laughing as I type this. Anyone who loses to Dave must have Shit For Brains, right? However, Barry started the players that a person with a normal functioning brain would start. Barkley – 7.7 points, Aaron Jones 5.2 points, Mike Evans 9.4 points. N. Suh 3.5 points. Barry did not start Jamar Chase – 22.8 points and Christian Kirk 25.5 points. Jason Hargraves DT scored 39 points. Jamar Chase couldn’t catch anything so you don’t start him until he has one good week. After scouring Barry’s lineup, he made all the right decisions. I guess in the end Barry isn’t Shit For Brains but he has to live with the embarrassment of losing to Dave, who is already trying to unload his team to get ready for 2025 IFL season.

The next game that I want to look at is Cleveland Kyle vs Seattle Will. Will lost to Kyle by 16 points. Should Will have done anything different to win? This one is closer. Will went with James Conner and Kenyon Drake, two backup RBs on their team. I can understand Will’s thought process. Neither Conner nor Drake had high ceilings, but they were pretty much assured of getting at least 10 points. He is thinking Kyle is a complete moron who will screw things up. Will played not to lose. As a result, he left Rob Gronkowski on the bench. Gronk came out and scored 38.2 points. If Will goes with Gronk over Conner or Drake he wins. On a side note, he chose the Raven’s offense over the 49ers offense. Raven’s were without their entire backfield. 49ers were playing one of the worst NFL teams in the league, the Lions. The 49ers outscored the Raven’s offense by 6 points. It doesn’t give Will the win , but it brings him closer. By most weeks standards, Will would not be a candidate for Shit For Brains, but this week is unique.

The last candidate for Shit For Brains comes from the Cincinnati Danny game and San Francisco Vic. Vic lost by 11 points. Was there anything that he could have done to win the game. The one player who really crapped the bed for Vic was Mike Gesicki and his 3 points. Vic left DJ Chark and his 19 points and Nelson Agholor and his 20 points on the bench. If he uses either of these players, he wins. This is a tough one. Gesicki didn’t play much in the preseason but neither did Chark or Agholor. Agholor was the big free agent signing on offense for New England. I guess I would lean a little bit toward the Agholor side, but again I can’t fault Vic for playing Gesicki.

For the first time ever, I don’t really have a Shit For Brains for the week. Everyone basically did what they should have done. Hopefully next week won’t be as pretty. Somebody is bound to screw up. Until next week… See you later!
