This is a very unique draft. Looking at the rookie-ranking landscape, it is as misaligned as it has ever been. People have the top 5-10 players that aren’t in others’ top 20. It’s made this mock extra tricky, but I’ve tried to do my best to provide players to fit potential roster needs, versus best player available, as BPA is so hard to tell!
Now time for my personal thoughts on this year’s class:
It is great at EDGE and LBer. It’s good at WR and S, and it’s bad at QB, RB, and DT. One position I can’t quite get a read on is tight end. Sure, there are the two surefire tight end prospects that’ll go early, but there was a historical amount at the position selected. The 2026 draft saw 22 tight ends selected (most since 2002) and 9 tight ends selected within the first three rounds (tying a 2023 record). There is an incoming wave of 12 and 13 personnel en vouge in the NFL. Will that equate to greater tight end production in fantasy football? Time will tell.
The AFC is in a major state of transition. There’s a new owner who shook things up with trading for the now. Mark and Jason, two signature GMs, have over $200 million in cap space. And we are in line to see a record-breaking 30+ picks selected by SBMOF winner Pittsburgh Spencer.
