The State of the IFL: 2017 Pre-Season Chicago Bears

Coach: Kyle Shanahan 2 PPG

QB: Jay Cutler (Close backup – Brian Hoyer) 23 PPG

Before we get started, there is no team in IFL with higher peaks and lower valleys per position. And boy do we get started in the doldrums with Jay Cutler and Brian Hoyer being the starters for Nic in our 16-team format. Cutler is the textbook definition of a gunslinger. When watching Cutler, it’s apparent he’s an intelligent pocket passer that can make any throws down the field. But then comes the maddening parts of his game. The State of the IFL: 2017 Carolina Panthers

Coach: Vance Joseph 6 PPG

QB: Tom Brady 36 PPG

GOAT! That is all.

P.S Brady has the best receiving group he’s ever had. QB1.

On his back up of Mike Glennon, there’s a case for Nils to pay close attention to the QB competition in Chicago as Brady is on a bye by week and the Bears may very well have installed the rookie QB Mitch Trubisky by that point. Continue reading The State of the IFL: 2017 Carolina Panthers

Giants 2017 Goal: No More Losing

When you compete in anything, you come at a crossroads. In IFL you either step up or move out the way. NFC East will be tough. Last year was a tough one for me going 5-1 in your first 6 games and then not to get a win until a month later is so frustrating words do not describe the pain that stretch was. But that is in the past and 2017 is here and NFC EAST looks a lot better than last year. Continue reading Giants 2017 Goal: No More Losing

Date Issued: Sunday, August 20th, 2017

THE STATE OF THE IFL: 2017 PRE-SEASON PITTSBURGH STEELERS

Coach: Mike Mularkey 5 PPG

QB: Carson Palmer/Carson Wentz 27 PPG

Palmer and Wentz make a decent duo. Palmer is most likely the 1A here, but when he plays the Seahawks and other tough matchups, Spencer will probably turn to Wentz. Palmer’s 2015 saw him in the MVP conversation and his 2016 was the beginning of his decline. If the Cardinals don’t end up over .500, there’s a good chance it’s because of Palmer’s mistakes. THE STATE OF THE IFL: 2017 PRE-SEASON CLEVELAND BROWNS

Coach: Vance Joseph 5 PPG

QB: Russell Wilson 30 PPG

I think a fringe top 5 IFL QB sounds about right for Wilson’s immediate future. He doesn’t have the best weapons in the league and has a below average offensive line, but his rushing yards is the advantage he holds over many fantasy quarterbacks. Entering 2017, Continue reading THE STATE OF THE IFL: 2017 PRE-SEASON CLEVELAND BROWNS

THE STATE OF THE IFL: 2017 PRE-SEASON CINCINNATI BENGALS

Coach: Pete Carroll 6 PPG

QB: Andrew Luck 33 PPG

Almost since the inception of Luck in the NFL, he’s been regarded as a top 5 quarterback. Despite numerous seasons of postseason play and an AFC championship berth, the lack of talent Indianapolis surrounded Luck with caught up with him.
