Coach: Ron Rivera 5 PPG
QB: Matt Ryan 26 PPG
Two years ago, Matt Ryan took over the NFL world, hoisting the MVP trophy and almost winning the Super Bowl barring a historic collapse. While Ryan didn’t take home the Lombardi, he did endear himself to fantasy owners after years of mediocrity. 2017 came fast and so did Ryan’s regression as he went from 38 touchdowns to a doleful 20. Many blamed Steve Sarkisian, who was a huge downgrade from league-best offensive mind Kyle Shannahan, but Ryan clearly wasn’t the same QB that led Atlanta’s historical charge the year prior. Ryan’s weapons return healthy and upgraded, as Calvin Ridley will provide a huge upgrade from Taylor Gabriel in the slot. Coach: Dan Quinn 6 PPG
QB: Jameis Winston/Ryan Fitzpatrick 25 PPG
Famous Jameis is known for many things, most notably crab legs, shoplifting soda from a Burger King and his incriminating sexual assault allegations against a Florida State student. His immaturity has shown while in the pros as well, as he was recently suspended 3 games after it was proven he groped an Uber driver. Shitty aspects aside, his football mentality provides a boom/bust, Philip Rivers type quarterback that can provide some week winning or week losing performances. Winston needs to get himself together if he’s going to survive in the NFL. I think he will, but he’s one strike away from serious consequences.

Coach: Sean McVay 7 PPG
QB: Marcus Mariota 25 PPG
It feels like Marcus Mariota is finally free of the archaic offense that’s bogged his fantasy value down his first three years. The exotic smashmouth offense lacked originality and ignored modern NFL analytics, but those days with the Titans are over with Matt LaFleur. Mariota’s dual-threat ability gives him an elite ceiling and we finally may see the Titans offense explode. It all comes down to creative game planning. I’m in wait and see mode with Mariota’s projection, with him still being projected as a below average IFL starter, but he can be so much more. Coach: Mike Zimmer 7 PPG
QB: Drew Brees 28 PPG
Is Drew Brees still a top 5 NFL quarterback? Most definitely. Is he still a top 5 fantasy quarterback? No. Reason being the Saints have adjusted into a much more run-centric team with Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara. Brees’ PPG shot down to 28 PPG in 2018, which is still top 10 worthy. Brees is still leading an elite offense with above average weapons, so the upside is still there for another elite season, but his days as one of fantasy’s elite options are likely over. QB: Matthew Stafford 27 PPG
Stafford doesn’t get enough credit for bringing a level of consistency to a franchise that has been through so many garbage years. The Lions have never been serious contenders for the Lombardi Trophy, but they’ve had consistency at the most important position on the football field for a decade. Stafford has a solid duo of receivers and what should be an improved, overhauled running attack. Not much has changed with the Detroit offense, sans the loss of Eric Ebron, which shouldn’t affect production. Stafford is placed at his 2017 mark of 27 PPG. QB: Phillip Rivers 27 PPG
Time to get heteronormative here. Phillip Rivers is that girl who is attractive, but not hot. She’s a 6-7 out of 10 and isn’t someone you would put on your ‘must bang list’ but would be happy to bring home to your parents for the holidays. Rivers has been a fringe top 10 QB for years, never really eclipsing that mark into elite numbers. He turns the ball over too much. The Chargers are once again struck by the injury bug losing Hunter Henry before the season even started.
