Issue Ten: The One With The Goodbye

It has been quite a rough couple of months around Sonoma County. Little to no time to focus on FFB, long days and nights of work, spending money that I don’t have to get my business up and running. These truly are trying times for me.

With that being said, some things have to change. Change can be good for some. Usually means a fresh start, a renewed outlook on life. Unlike other GM’s in the IFL that have chosen to move on without a word, I would never do that to my brothers and sister. Anybody who doesn’t have the courage to say goodbye, shouldn’t be here. Yes it may be hard, but with the time and effort we put into not only this league, but into each other, we deserve better than an abrupt ending.

In Vegas, some of the returning GM’s may have noticed something a little different about me. Maybe it the way I acted. Or maybe it was my attitude. I felt a little different when I was there. Probably because I knew what was eventually coming. This decision, which was hard to make, was made well before our annual Vegas trip. Maybe even before the end of the last season.

I did spend some time weighing my options. Do I want to let this end or not? This is quite a big decision because of the time and the work and the money I have put into this aspect of my life. There have been so many good times, I didn’t want to see them go.

After the belittling and harassment I have received from some of the GM’s in this league, some of which I thought were my friends, I had to make a decision that would be best for me. After Vegas I knew what my decision was going to be. And after yesterday morning, that decision was confirmed.

So it comes with a heavy heart that I tell everyone in the IFL that… I had to get rid of the Audi.

We had some good times but it was time to put the old girl out to pasture. She needed a little to much tender love and care that I just couldn’t provide to her. Easily one of the most difficult decisions that I have ever made in my life, but, alas, she is gone.

Here is our last picture together. My final goodbye.

I know some of you didn’t like her, and thought I could do better. But she was a great girl, and will be missed. Thanks for reading and sharing in my heartbreak.
