So pre-combine mocks are alway difficult but this year I thought we should mix it up and base it on the landing spots from a recent mock draft.

The one in question is from Matt Miller on Bleacher Report 

The main reason why I selected this one is that it covers all seven rounds so is extensive enough to cover all the players likely drafted in the IFL draft

So round one of the AFC 2019 Draft, here we go:

1.01 David Montgomery, RB Iowa State | Kansas City Chiefs
AFC Bengals

Kansas drafts their Kareem Hunt replacement, sending Monty rocketing to the top of the draft!

1.02 Joshua Jacobs, RB Alabama | Oakland Raiders
AFC Chiefs (Formerly Ravens)

Will Curt keep his pick at the top of the draft? If he does, he might be rewarded with Oakland’s newest running back

1.03 Damien Harris, RB Alabama | Buffalo Bills
AFC Colts (Formerly Chargers)

In the IFL, you can never have enough running backs, the Colts load up on defence with their next pick

1.04 Darrell Henderson RB, Memphis | New York Jets
AFC Steelers

WTF?! Here’s where Spencer throws the dice, the biggest riser in this mock driven by the landing spot. Working on the proviso Le’Veon Bell has found work elsewhere in the NFL.

1.05 Nick Bosa, DE Ohio State | Arizona Cardinals
AFC Steelers

Too early for IDP? Maybe but in a draft stacked with defensive talent and light on offensive talent, best not to fight it.

1.06 DK Metcalf, WR Ole Miss | Baltimore Ravens
AFC Raiders (Formerly Texans)

Ol’ Craig is playing the long game so can afford to wait on Jackson and Metcalf to get a chemistry firing in Baltimore.

1.07 N’Keal Harry, WR Arizona State | Green Bay Packers 
AFC Dolphins (Formerly Chiefs)

Devin White vs N’Keal Harry will be the decision for the Dolphin and as stud-ly as White looks, Harry with Rodgers could be just too attractive to pass on.

1.08 Devin White, LB LSU | Cincinnati Bengals 
AFC Colts (Formerly Jets)

The Colts bolster their linebacking core. Devin White is a slam dunk in this draft, the Colts will be very happy.

1.09 JJ Arcega-Whiteside, WR Stanford | San Francisco 49ers
AFC Bills

Solid boost in draft stock for JJ, everyone wants to grab Jimmy G’s favourite wide receiver and this could be too good to pass up on!

1.10 Hakeem Butler, WR Iowa State | Indianapolis Colts
AFC Steelers (Formerly Raiders)

Spencer won’t risk over drafting an RB for the extra salary here, takes another wide receiver to add to his offence and hopes he can flip them for running backs. 

1.11 Noah Fant, TE Iowa | Arizona Cardinals
AFC Steelers (Formerly Titans)

Easily the top tight end in the class and young QBs tend to like a big body over the middle, which could flourish into a solid relationship in Arizona.

1.12 Devin Bush, LB Michigan | Minnesota Vikings
AFC Steelers (Formerly Broncos)

Homer pick! The other Devin is a little undersized but so quick and with the Vikings landing spot, could work very well for the IFL Steelers. 

1.13 Devin Singletary, RB FAU | Baltimore Ravens
AFC Colts

Interestingly the running backs drop, the Colts aren’t desperate for running backs but with Gus Edwards as potential WT candidate, the Colts lock up the Ravens backfield.

1.14  Rodney Anderson, RB, Oklahoma | Houston Texans 
AFC Steelers (Formerly Patriots)

Spencer rounds out his first round picks with wild card pick, Anderson is super talented but serious fitness concerns, solid opportunity in Texas though. 

1.15 Tre Lamar, LB Clemson | Oakland Raiders
AFC Cleveland 

This is a fantastic landing spot for the Clemson linebacker and I could be a little low on him here, top 10 is not out of his reach in the IFL draft.

1.16 Elijah Holyfield, RB Georgia | Philadelphia Eagles
AFC Cleveland (Formerly Dolphins)

Roll of the dice by Kyle with the Eagles backfield. Snell is also possible but there’s arguably a lot more competition in Chi-town than there is in Philly.
