2019 IFL MOCK DRAFT PRE COMBINE AFC ROUND 2

For those of you that might not have caught round one of the mock, just to recap, I have based my picks using the landing spots according to recent mock draft by Matt Miller on Bleacher Report

Vegas Baby, Vegas!

So with round one in the books of the AFC 2019 Draft, on to round two:

2.01 AJ Brown, WR Ole Miss | Buffalo Bills
AFC Cincinnati

Ah bet you were’t expecting this one right? Amazing what getting drafted to the Bills can do to your value. Still, Monty and Brown to the Bengals!

2.02 Alabama LB Mack Wilson | Green Bay Packers
AFC Steelers (Formerly Ravens)

Return of the Mack, he may have made it into the first round of my original mock but with a dicey landing spot of the Packers, he drops, far!

2.03 Mike Weber, RB Ohio State | Tampa Bay Buccaneers
AFC Colts (Formerly Chargers)

Some will be wary of the Tampa landing spot after Rojo’s rookie season but for at the 2.03 I could be a little low on Mike…

2.04 Benny Snell Jr., RB Kentucky | Chicago Bears
AFC Steelers (Formerly Jaguars)

Back to back running backs and you know what, I don’t know how Snell fell this far, I think it’s the Bears, it’s a messy backfield.

2.05 Clelin Ferrell, DE Clemson | Detroit Lions
AFC Steelers

What a landing spot this is for Ferrell! Spencer pairs Bosa with Ferrell in what could be a spicy pass rush for the Steelers!

2.06 T.J. Hockenson, TE Iowa | New England Patriots
AFC Browns (Formerly Texans)

Kylie loves a tight end and I think he’d just want the potential successor to Gronk to p*ss off the Raven!

2.07 Marquise Brown, WR Oklahoma | Tennessee Titans
AFC Browns (Formerly Chiefs)

Early reports have Hollywood going in the first round the NFL Draft, receivers drop in the IFL, especially the vertically challenged ones!

2.08 T.J. Edwards, LB Wisconsin | Pittsburgh Steelers
AFC Browns

What? No Josh Allen? Listen kids, he went to the Jets, he’s going to be an OLB. One player who has a lovely landing spot is Edwards in Pitt!

2.09 Dwayne Haskins, QB Ohio State | New York Giants
AFC Steelers (Formerly Jets)

With this many picks Spencer can do what he likes. Wentz will be going into the final year of his deal and Haskins has a nice landing spot. He sure as hell doesn’t need more receivers.

2.10 Kelvin Harmon, WR North Carolina State | Houston Texans
AFC Bengals (Formerly Raiders)

Harmon will have been a name a lot of people have been waiting on, a lot of competition for targets in Texas has dropped him down.

2.11 Riley Ridley, WR Georgia | Cleveland Browns
AFC Oakland (Formerly Titans)

Ridley could be one of the most underrated guys in my mock, the Browns is a solid landing spot and he’s a 2nd round pick in the NFL mock.

2.12 Bryce Love, RB Stanford | Oakland Raiders
AFC Broncos

Davey boy is playing the long game so taking a guy coming back from and ACL might fit with his timeline to rebuild in 2019.

2.13 Rashan Gary, DE Michigan | Oakland Raiders
AFC Colts

The Cardinals are expected to move to 3-4 which could leave the Colts short at DE. A DE role with the Raiders could be good but Gary is very raw, be patient.

2.14 Irv Smith Jr., TE Alabama | Cincinnati Bengals
AFC Chargers (Formerly Patriots)

Am I little low here? Smith is pretty highly regarded and did go second round of the NFL mock. Either way, great value here late in the round.

2.15 Jachai Polite, DE Florida | Seattle Seahawks
AFC Jaguars (Formerly Browns)

This is nice value to get an NFL 1st round edge rusher playing in the Seahawks 4-3 defence. Even Frank Clark leaves this pick is even better!

2.16 Miles Sanders, RB Penn State | Jacksonville Jaguars
AFC Browns (Formerly Dolphins)

Sanders played back up to Saquon Barkley so let’s hope he learnt a few things. Only one season with significant carries which is a concern.

That’s it for the AFC, next up the NFC. A special mention to Justice Hill, it wasn’t personal mate, you just weren’t included in the Bleacher Report Mock!
